One pair down & on to the next one

Here I am modelling my latest pair of finished socks. I've moved on to the Lorna's Laces yarn that I picked up in New York now. I love knitting with this yarn. It's pure merino wool & it's so soft. Can't wait to get these babies finished & on my feet. It's certainly the weather for woolen socks.

Cherry Blossom Chasing

I'm really enjoying this. It's written by a Canadian who decides to hitchhike the length of Japan following the sakura (cherry blossom) from South to North. It brings back lots of memories of the fun & difficulties of being a 'gaijin' (foreigner) in Japan.

Vegan Ice Cream

Wow! Ice cream was always going to be a stumbling block but now I've discovered this I'm not so sure.

Snowing in October?!

We were busy getting ready to see Martha Wainwright at the Roundhouse last night when we had a little peak outside to see if we'd need to take a coat & look what we saw! It had snowed! Martha was fab & the support act, Angus & Julia Stone were great too. Her voice reminds me a lot of Hope Sandoval from Mazzy Star. Was a bit chilly on the way home though.

A Trip to Beckenham

We had a lovely afternoon visiting a friend, eating homemade soup & walking in the park. Got a great view of Battersea Power Station from the train too.

Socktober

Making a real effort to get through all that sock yarn now.

How to Lure Me into a Pub

Yes, with billboards like these the Dartmouth Arms will be seeing me very soon.
