Before we left Kana'apali we made some more lei, this time with leaves from the ti plant.
We left the beach for the mountains of Haiku.
Our bed & breakfast was surrounded by almost jungle-like vegetaion & the owner had decorated it with some lovely Hawaiian trinkets.
There was a beautiful, traditional Hawaiian quilt on the bed & many strange noises outside.

Hi Kerry, great photos. Thanks for your face book message- it won't allow me to reply. Either some bad karma, or it's time to buy a new/ old computer.
At some point in the next few months I hope to be ukulele jamming with my old chum Phil Ramsden (he's a maths professor at Imperial, coincidentally). Until then, Aloha ;)
And Aloha right back at ya Bill. : )
